Post Wolfpack catch up
I'm not sure if any of you, wolvish siblings, still lurk around from once in a while. I know I do (even while there are times in which months pass between my visits).

The point is I do not forget. You were good friends. In some way, you still are. And I sometimes wonder what happened with all of you.

So, if you happen to stop by, I'd appreciate you to tell us what has been going on with your life.

I'm 27. I work as a web-designer por LG Electronics Mexico. I finally live on my own (which in Mexico means a lot and is not as common or as easy as it is in the USA and stuff). Still single and childless.

The last couple of years I have been really immersed into Tabletop Role Playing Games theory and design. Hardcore stuff. I have several projects in development, one of which is a "remix" of my old Matrix one. (And in fact another one of those is based on my good old "Titan Wars" forum game.)

I'm still interested in working as a Video Game Designer, and plan on studying a Master's Degree in Video Game Design. Right now I still lack the money, but I have already started getting ready for that. In fact, that's the reason I got to study the basics for 3D Studio Max, and I'm getting the hang of this 3D stuff. Fun stuff indeed.

I'm still writing and drawing, but currently my focus has been in other stuff. I still plan new stories, scripts and comics from once in a while, but right now most of those projects are in stand by.

I started taking Bass Guitar lessons, and even while I know I'd never be a virtuoso or anything, it is fun to start understanding music at such a deeper level. And I still believe some day, when I finally get the hang of this, I'd be almost unable to want to compose some stuff on my own.

So, everything is cool, I'm getting wiser, I'm starting to have some breakthroughs on some stuff, yet I have tons to learn. And some times I really miss the wolfpack. I have not found a community like that one ever since. :(

Post Re: Wolfpack catch up
I've been super busy over the last year. I moved to the Seattle, WA area and got my masters in computer science a couple years ago. I've been working for a game studio since then and we released our MMO http://www.faunasphere.com this last August. (Its free if you want to check it out)

I got married a month after I graduated and we just had our first child. He's almost two months old. Babies are a lot of work and they cry a lot. >_<

I've been working on Nook in my spare time (which isn't much now a days) with two of my old friends. I started over with it when I was in grad school, so it doesn't really look like the original one I posted on the website a long time ago. I haven't really got much to show for it yet, we've been mostly doing the engine and are just now getting paste design and gameplay.

I'll post about it someday.

That's my update.

Wow sounds like you have a lot going for you Tristian. A few peeps from the wolfpack hang around here still. From time to time i hear from them. I'm still foolish enough not to have given up on this yet. In one more semester i graduate with my MBA and hope by that time i will have a lot more spare time to fiddle around with coding this.

Lets see.. I'm still single. I have been for 7 years (omg 7 years!! :) No kids, dont want any. My bathroom plant just died. I figure if i can't keep a plant alive, then i certainly can't keep kids alive.

I share your attitude about having learned quite a bit and then realizing there's so much more to learn. life is complex. there's no instruction manual and that's lame. if there were, i would RTFM. ;0

Good to hear from you as always. Like you I haven't found a new "home" on the internet either. Wolfpack was certainly unique among all the other communities. I guess jerkald you can at least say if nothing else you made a lasting impact on people, cuz here we are years later still talking about it.

Hope someone else sees this and responds with what they've been doing. Sorry about the spam bots. I need to upgrade the security on this forum again...

Jorgander!
I'm not a spy bot! Sheesh...
I actually contributed a lot to the wolfpack, back in the day! I normally posted graphics, but I was working on a game, Power of Drike.
If you deleted my profile and post because I put this in the wrong thread, I apologize.
But I am actually glad to see you are all still around, even if Jorgander deletes me again...

Congrats Jerkald! aww.

I've done nothing. I'm thinking of moving to Portland next year. (and I'm going there/Seattle in two weeks for Bumbershoot woo!)

I'm glad everyone else is living exciting lives with stuff being done! I miss the Wolfpack.
